This is the second annual report on the work completed by the Biodiversity team for the Northland Regional Council, covering the 2022-2023 financial year. Within this report you will see the work that the team has undertaken to support community and restoration actions for wetlands, lakes, forests, and our coastal environment. Biodiversity is the variety of living things and Te Taitokerau (Northland) is regarded as one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s biodiversity hotspots.
