Council makes decisions every day, ranging from day-to-day matters to those with a very high level of importance, impact, or public interest.
This Significance and Engagement Policy, adopted in June 2021, sets out when and how our communities can expect to be engaged in our decision-making processes. The policy:
- Sets out when and how we will engage with communities on an issue or proposal
- Provides council with a tool for defining what is significant, helping to determine where a greater level of community engagement will result in better decision making.
