Northland Regional Council contractors conduct underwater hull surveys throughout Northland from October to May each year to monitor marine pests on vessels.
This programme aims to inspect around 2000 vessels which could be on anchor, on moorings, in marinas or alongside structures.
If a marine pest is found on a vessel, we will contact the vessel owner to advise them.
