Christmas, New Year office hours

Northland Regional Council offices in Whangārei, Waipapa and Kaitaia will close at 2pm Wednesday 24 December for the Christmas-New Year break.
Council’s offices will reopen on Thursday 08 January 2026.
Meanwhile, in Dargaville, where NRC staff share offices with the Kaipara District Council, the Kaipara Service Centre will close at noon on Tuesday 23 December and reopen on Monday 05 January 2026.
Environmental or maritime incidents can still be reported to council’s 24/7 NRC Incident Hotline (0800) 504 639 over the break.
