My wife and I operate numerous dairy farms in the Hikurangi region, milking 1,400 cows.
Having previously developed large-scale agricultural and forestry enterprises in the North, our current focus is primarily on farming. We have received three environmental awards for our work in weed control and forestry, most recently earning the Ballance Environmental Award in 2022.
My commitment to fostering growth and innovation extends beyond the agricultural and commercial sectors. I actively engage in initiatives that uplift community infrastructure and environmental sustainability. As Chairman of the Northland Regional Council, I prioritise strategic planning and policy making to ensure the region thrives economically while preserving its natural heritage. Simultaneously, my participation in leadership programmes, such as Kelloggs programme for Rural Leaders, reflects my dedication to continuous learning and effective governance.
This has enabled me to contribute meaningfully to discussions shaping the future of rural industries and regional development.
