As an Independent Candidate for the Kaipara Constituency, my focus is sensible and sustainable management of waterways in Te Tai Tokerau urban and rural catchments. This means water quality, water usage at reasonable cost, water wastage within communities, and the collection and availability of this Essential Resource.

I support the NRC 2024 Regional Plan which acknowledges our founding document, Te Tiriti and addresses some of the major issues including climate change.

Water Fundamentally Sustains Life.

My whakapapa extends from Kaipara Harbour to Kaitaia. I have resided in the Kaipara constituency most of my life, my parents, Joan and George Norris farmed in Whatitiri, at 'Norris Road'. As a mother and nana Nossi to my mokopuna I have close association with Maungarongo Marae, Poroti, and Poroti Springs.

As an advocate for positive environmental outcomes for over 30 years I have had firsthand experience of W.D.C, NRC, and Environmental Court procedures.
