I offer a fresh energetic approach as your Regional Councillor.  My experience includes operational and financial land management. NRC must refocus on core responsibilities to deliver outcomes that protect communities.  They have proven methods to deal with flooding and stream bank erosion, but have failed to deliver these, especially at Waipapa.

Route security needs urgent attention and improvement. How ready is NRC for Civil Defence and Emergency Management?

My family moved from our Tapora (Kaipara) dairy farm to Rainbow Falls, Kerikeri to market garden/orchard in 1977.  After graduating Diploma in Horticulture (Massey) I specialised in propagating rare and endangered New Zealand native plants.

My partner Jeff and I farm 223 Ha overlooking Lake Omapere, where I identified Madagascan Ragwort, a toxic weed that NRC mis-identified that now has spread through Northland. There is no method of blanket control but researching Bio-controls I am hopeful that effective organisms will be found.
