The Regional Land Transport Programme is essentially a “programme of works” through which the New Zealand Transport Authority and Approved Organisations in Northland bid for funding assistance from the National Land Transport Fund. Funds can only be allocated to activities listed in a Regional Land Transport Programme.
The lists of activities in this Programme were either identified by the councils (and other agencies with transport interests) in the region or proposed by the New Zealand Transport Agency.
