Thousands of people made their way to Otiria Marae recently to take part in the much-loved Te Āhuareka o Ngāti Hine.
The three-day event (28-30 Maehe) celebrated everything Ngāti Hine, with this year featuring lively, thought-provoking tautohetohe debates, kapa haka, kai, stage entertainment, mahi tuna, tamariki activities and art exhibitions. Northland Regional Council was privileged to tautoko the festival and be actively engaged, including staff being part of some of the on-stage performances.
