Activity description
Renewal of the resource consents for the continued operation of the Hihi Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The following consents are required:
- To discharge treated wastewater to an unnamed tributary of Hihi Beach (known locally as Hihi Stream).
- To discharge contaminants to ground via seepage from the base of an artificial wetland system.
- To discharge contaminants (primarily odour) to air from the wastewater treatment plant and discharged wastewater.
