24 July, 5:30 - 7:00pm - Parua Bay, Community Centre 1 August, 5:30 - 7:00pm - Waipapa, NRC Office
25 July, 5:30 - 7:00pm - Ruakaka, Recreation Centre 3 August 10:00 - 11:30am - Kaitāia, Te Ahu Centre
27 July, 10:00 - 11:30am - Whangārei, NRC Chambers 3 August, 1:30 - 3:00pm - Kaikohe, FNDC Chambers
31 July, 5:30 - 7:00pm - Dargaville, Town Hall  

Nomination forms

The nomination forms are editable PDF documents for candidates to:

  1. Complete the form online
  2. Print the completed form
  3. Add the required signatures
  4. Deliver the completed hard copy nomination form to Northland Regional Council

Key information

Triennial elections for elected members of most local authorities throughout New Zealand are to be conducted, by postal vote, on Saturday 12 October 2019.

Positions

The Northland Regional Council require elections for the following positions:

Councillors (9)

  • Coastal Central Constituency (1)
  • Coastal North Constituency (2)
  • Coastal South Constituency (1)
  • Hokianga-Kaikohe Constituency (1)
  • Kaipara Constituency (1)
  • Te Hiku Constituency (1)
  • Whangārei Urban Constituency (2)

Nominations

Nominations for the above positions will open on Friday 19 July 2019 and close at noon on Friday 16 August 2019.

Voting period

Voting documents will be sent to all eligible electors, by post, from Friday 20 September 2019. The voting period is three weeks (Friday 20 September 2019 to noon Saturday 12 October 2019).
