Northland Regional Council’s Long Term Plan 2018-2028 was adopted at a council meeting on 21 June 2018. This plan came into effect on 1 July 2018 and can be downloaded below:
Long term plans and annual plans follow a three yearly planning cycle, with a long term plan occurring in year one, followed by an annual plan in years two and three. Annual plans focus on any differences to the last long term plan adopted by council, whereas a long term plan sets council’s strategic programmes of work, and funding for the next ten years and beyond. The figure below shows where we’re up to in the planning cycle:
While the Long Term Plan 2018-2028 is still current, we’re gearing up for the Long Term Plan 2021-2031 and planning is well underway – you’ll be hearing from us soon!
