Predator Free Whangārei is hosting an online introductory workshop to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, facilitated by Moea Armstrong.

Join this workshop to learn about the historical context of Te Tiriti and gain valuable insight as you engage with mana whenua and work on the ground with pest control efforts.

About Predator Free Whangārei

Predator Free Whangārei is a collaborative project between local community groups, private landowners and government agencies to restore our native flora and fauna. Currently the project is working towards eradicating possums in over 9,000 hectares of Whangārei heads by 2025, as well as suppressing rats and mustelids in the wider rohe.

About Moea Armstrong

Moea is a fifth generation Pakeha with a passion for celebrating the peaceful promise of the Treaty, and working toward healthy cultural relationships in Aotearoa, through addressing our historical legacy.

She has facilitated Tiriti and anti-racism workshops in Te Tai Tokerau since 1991; worked as a journalist with both mainstream and iwi media; and was a resource management planner for Ngatiwai Trust Board.
