Coastcare in action: Bream Bay explore and restore workshop
Get hands-on in beautiful Bream Bay.

Join us by bus for a hands-on day exploring Bream Bay’s unique coastal habitats from dunes to wildlife refuges with local Coastcare groups.
Visit key restoration sites at Langs Beach, Waipū, Uretiti, and Ruakākā, and learn how communities are protecting and restoring our coastline.
Experience practical dune care activities and listen to inspiring stories from the people leading local conservation efforts.
Whether you’re a volunteer, landowner, student, or simply curious about caring for the coast, this trip offers something for everyone.
A bus will depart Whangarei at 8am with passengers from town and will stop off at various communities enroute before the workshop kicks off at Langs Beach at 9am.
Please note the bus will also return passengers back to each of the collection stops before returning to Whangarei around 4pm.
