One Billion Trees Fund

The Government has set a goal to plant one billion trees by 2028, to deliver improved social, environmental and economic outcomes for New Zealand.

It is encouraging tree planting through the One Billion Trees Fund, which is providing funding for direct landowner grants and partnership projects.

Landowners need to apply directly to Te Uru Rākau for funding.
