GIS Officer
Come and enjoy a healthy work/life balance in Northland and enjoy our fantastic surroundings. Only a couple hours’ drive from Auckland, we enjoy the best of both worlds. Northland boasts an abundance of white sandy beaches and a wealth of fishing and diving spots make this the perfect place to live, work and play. In addition to our plentiful marine environment, our region is a major agricultural centre producing fresh local ingredients for our thriving markets, cafes and restaurants.
However, it is the people that make a place and you will find the staff at the regional council, down-to-earth, warm and welcoming – just like the people and communities we serve. We are extremely passionate about the work we do and take our responsibilities in protecting and investing in Northland seriously.
Our Information Services team, based in Whangarei, are looking for a recent GIS graduate or a GIS Officer who is ready for their next career move. You will help manage geospatial data, produce professional mapping projects and explore new territory as we introduce Web based GIS, 3D modelling and Virtual Reality technologies.
The ideal candidate will also have:
- an aptitude for spatial data analysis experience using the new generation of ESRI GIS products and technologies,
- an eye for detail and quality
- exceptional customer services skills.
