Community Perspectives on Aquaculture Planning
A team of Australian and New Zealand students recently completed a study into the community’s perspective on the Council’s process for developing Plan Change 4 (Policy and Regulatory Regime for Aquaculture Management Areas).
The team undertook the research project as part of their degree requirements for an Executive Masters in Public Administration through the Australia New Zealand School of Government. They examined all submissions to Plan Change 4 and identified a subset for interviews. During September and October, 2007, interviews were undertaken face to face with submitters from the community and several government agencies.
This report provides a summary of the results.
