Free native plants for you

Cabbage trees are part of the Native Plant Fund. Every year, we provide financial support to the Alter-Natives Wholesale Nursery Native Plant Fund.  Around 9,300 native plants are given away for free.

You can apply for a lot of 100 native plants.  You must be a resident or community group from the Whangarei, Far North or Kaipara Districts.  You can be a private land owner, school or other education provider, a club or youth group, community trust or a Landcare group responsible for the care of community, QEII or Department of Conservation land.

2010 fund is now closed

Applications for this fund will re-open in 2011.
