The release of the Regional Policy Statement for Northland – Discussion Document in October 2010 was the first step in the journey to develop a new Regional Policy Statement for Northland.

The purpose of the Discussion Document was to generate discussion, gather feedback on the potential issues and options and to use this feedback to inform the development of the draft new RPS.
