No buses on Xmas, New Year public holiday days
Passengers are reminded that CityLink Whangarei buses will not run over the several days that make up the official Christmas and New Year public holidays.

CityLink Whangarei bus outside the old Town Hall. The bus service - operated by NorthBus and contracted to the Northland Regional Council - does not operate on Sundays or public holidays.
This means its fleet of distinctive green buses will be out and about on Whangarei’s streets as normal for the week of Monday 20 to Friday 24 December, but will not operate from Christmas Day (Saturday 25 December) to Tuesday 28 December inclusive.
The buses will then be back in action and running to their normal timetable on Wednesday 29, Thursday 30 and Friday 31 December, before shutting down again over New Year’s Day (Saturday 01 January) to Tuesday 04 Jan inclusive.
Normal services will resume on Wednesday 05 January.
