For Schools

2008 Hui @ Kamo Intermediate

Nine schools including 40 students attended an Enviroschools Hui hosted by Kamo Intermediate School.

The theme for this Hui was Precious Energy and Eco buildings. Students and teachers participated in workshops on Energy Saving, Designing Eco Buildings and Living Sustainably.

Everyone helped plant Kowhai tree s in the schools native garden and Kamo students showed guests around the schools environmental projects.

Participants enjoyed checking out ideas to take back to their school.

Teachers and students had a chance to share and network. Everyone felt it was a worthwhile day.
